BEACHES

All along the coastline of the Cost Blanca you'll find pristine, unspoilt beaches with soft, golden sand. Just a 5 - 10 minute drive away at Oliva Nueva Golf resort you'll find the uncrowded beach stretching all the way to Las Marinas and Denia. If you like watersports there are plenty of opportunities to hire boats and windsurfers and tuition is available in Els Poblets and Denia. Watch the kite-surfers on Sundays in the summer - truly amazing!

TAKE IN THE LOCAL AREA

Take a short drive behind Villa Miranda and enter a world of hidden valleys, hilltop villages, ancient caves and castles amid the most breathtaking scenery. This is the real Spain where you can experience the different cultures that have shaped the history of the area. Take a Spanish phrasebook as not many locals speak English! Along the coast you'll find the lively towns of Gandia, Oliva, Denia, Javea, Altea, Calpe and, of course, Benidorm.

THE SAFARI PARK - VERGEL

A five minute drive away, the Safari Park is a great day out for all the family. Enjoy seeing a variety of animals in the wild including lions, tigers, rhinos, monkeys and elephants. There is a petting enclosure where children can wander amongst the animals and throughout the day there are shows featuring parrots, seals and sea lions. There is also a fascinating reptile centre, water rides and other activities for the children. Adults will enjoy it too!

PEGO

From the villa, Pego can be seen at the head of the valley - especially attractive at night. Pego is the nearest major town and is a 5 - 10 minute drive. Here you'll a fascinating, bustling Spanish town - full of character. Narrow streets, surprising shops, excellent local produce (try the fresh fish), ancient churches and many bars. Visit the market on Thursday mornings.

BENIDORM

A 40 minute drive but well worth it for a day full of entertainment. Visit the bustling town and promenade along the sea front during the day and at night choose from hundreds of bars and restaurants or visit the famous Palace Nightclub and take in a glamorous show. For the children there is the Terra Mitica theme park and the Aqualandia water park to keep them amused for hours!
